One thing you will not be short of in Cornwall is things to do, from lounging at or walking along the beautiful coastlines, to exploring the towns and days out for the whole family, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Firstly let us begin with Launceston, a small town that sits just down the A30 from Altarnun, about a 10 minute drive away. The main feature in Launceston is Launceston Castle. The town itself has been built around the castle over centuries, which you can see when you reach the top of dilapidated round tower. Launceston Castle is part of the English Heritage Trust and is open from 1st April, to 1st November. To enter the ruins costs £3.00 for adults, £1.50 for children, £2.60 for concession and is FREE for members of the English Heritage. There is a small area of greenery at the entrance of the castle, which you can sit at and have a picnic for no charge.
